WHAT A VENUE ILLUSTRATION IS USED FOR
You mean besides treasuring it for its sentimental value? Use it to design pieces of your invitation suite, like custom envelope liners.
By the way, an illustration is not necessarily should depict a building. It might be a skyline of the city where a happy couple is going to have a wedding, or a secluded place in nature you've chosen as a place of your elopement ceremony. It really only depends on what you hold dear to your heart.
How a wedding venue sketch is made. STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS
• First, a client sends me photos to base the illustration of off, and shares ideas they have regarding it.
• Then, I create a digital sketch. It's for you to approve if you like the layout and the overall look of it.
• After that, I draw an actual wedding venue watercolor on high-quality paper, and send the photos of the finished piece to your email.
• In the end, I mail the original your way with a tracking number, and email you a digital copy.
At a sketch stage, I do unlimited revisions until you feel happy with the result. At a watercolor stage, I still can do subtle changes, like twitching the colors slightly, free of charge, but any major changes that require redrawing the illustration will be made at an additional cost of $50.
SIZE AND TECHNIQUE
Each illustration is hand drawn on paper in watercolor technique. A standard size is 9 × 12 inches, but you always could ask for a custom one. It could be anything up to 15 × 22 inches.
I'll also send a digital copy as a PNG file and a vectorized PDF file to your email.
If you don't want to own an original watercolor and only need a digital copy to use for design and printing, you can have it at a reduced price. I'll email you the files and keep the painting for myself.
